The Francophone Community Immigration Pilot, launched in early 2025, is making strides in bringing French-speaking newcomers to communities outside Quebec. Local economic development organizations are partnering with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to address labour shortages by connecting reliable employers with qualified candidates seeking permanent residence. These efforts aim to bolster economic growth while preserving the cultural and demographic presence of Francophone communities across Canada. Training for participating organizations is underway, with application timelines for employers and candidates expected soon.
