This upcoming initiative will operate under the existing Global Talent Stream within the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP). The dedicated stream aims to reduce the total processing time for these specialized work permits to twenty days or less. Additionally, the government plans to introduce specific measures that will help these tech workers transition to Canadian permanent residence. This strategy aims to create 250,000 new artificial intelligence jobs over the next five years.
