The provincial government highlighted recent legislative progress, including rules that prevent regulatory bodies from requiring Canadian work experience unless necessary for health or safety. Additionally, the proposed Immigration Oversight Act aims to protect foreign workers by requiring the provincial licensing of international recruiters and the registration of businesses that hire through immigration pathways.
