Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada is calling on international visitors to apply early for travel documents ahead of the FIFA World Cup 26. With 13 matches scheduled between June 11 and July 19, 2026, in Toronto and Vancouver, fans from 12 countries, including Germany, Croatia, Belgium, and Switzerland, will need either a visitor visa or an electronic travel authorization to enter Canada. Minister Lena Metlege Diab emphasized that match tickets do not guarantee entry, and proper immigration documentation remains essential. The tournament is expected to generate nearly 25,000 jobs and contribute $2 billion to Canada's economy.
