Over the last two weeks, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws under the International Experience Canada (IEC). From May 23 to June 5, Canada invited 3,179 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of June 5, 33,227 candidates have registered in the pool and are awaiting the invitation. In these rounds, there were 656 ITAs for Australia, 3 ITAs for Austria, 20 ITAs for Belgium, 18 ITAs for Chile, 10 ITAs for Costa Rica, 8 ITAs for Croatia, 51 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 14 ITAs for Denmark, 5 ITAs for Estonia, 9 ITAs for Finland, 377 ITAs for France, 254 ITAs for Germany, 15 ITAs for Greece, 7 ITAs for Hong Kong, 1 ITA for Iceland, 114 ITAs for Ireland, 177 ITAs for Italy, 30 ITAs for Japan, 557 ITAs for Korea, 3 ITAs for Latvia, 16 ITAs for Lithuania, 1 ITA for Luxembourg, 124 ITAs for New Zealand, 18 ITAs for Norway, 37 ITAs for Poland, 39 ITAs for Portugal, 25 ITAs for Slovakia, 3 ITAs for Slovenia, 59 ITAs for Spain, 25 ITAs for Sweden, 8 ITAs for Switzerland, 45 ITAs for Taiwan, and 450 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In total, Canada invited 76,571 IEC candidates in 2026.
